Query Productions Announces New Faith-Tinged Western Feature Length Film titled: “God and a Gun”
Query Productions, the Southern Indiana-based production company founded by filmmaker Dylan Query, has officially launched production on its latest feature film, God and a Gun. This brand new Indie Western blends themes of truth, vengeance, and redemption, promising audiences a grounded and spiritual experience that balances action with deep moral conflict.
Set against the backdrop of the American frontier, “God and a Gun” follows Marshal Wesley Foster, a man of quiet faith and a steady hand, as he investigates the devastating final confrontation between William McCarthy and Fennec Danberry at the end of Gunfight at Cold Cross. With shifting accounts, hidden motives, and an outlaw who shadows his every move, Foster discovers that maintaining the path of righteousness can seem an impossibly deadly task.
The project is being financed through a dedicated film investment structure with support from independent investors. God and a Gun, LLC, the single-purpose entity formed for the film, will manage the project’s financing, distribution, and investor participation, while Query Productions, LLC will serve as the managing member and lead production company. Filming is slated to begin in 2026 across locations in Indiana and Kentucky, with an expected release in 2027.
